Interview mit Rainer Krenig, Mitglied der Geschäftsleitung und Leiter Finanzwesen bei H-O-T.

Seit wann arbeiten Sie bei der H-O-T Gruppe?

For over 18 years.

What was the deciding factor in your choice of employer? What made you decide to join the H-O-T Group?

After completing my training as an accountant, I was looking for a new challenge. As a medium-sized company, I saw in H-O-T the opportunity to contribute fully.

What opportunities has the company offered you?How has H-O-T supported you in your personal development?

The company has put its trust in me as a person and in my skills and supported me with a range of specialist training courses. Over the years, I was given more and more responsibility, until eventually, I was involved in major decision-making processes.

In your opinion, what do you need in order to achieve success with the H-O-T Group?

This isn’t a job for sitting around twiddling your thumbs. You need to have a great deal of commitment and the will to adjust to new situations.

What do you like most about your current job?What do you particularly enjoy at work?

The variety and the constant new challenges in my field. It is never boring, as there is no such thing as a typical day here. This means you don’t end up getting rusty, because the job requires you to be interested in new things and constantly developing as a person.

What do you think are the greatest challenges?

Because H-O-T is a medium-sized, dynamic company, a high degree of flexibility and resistance to stress is required. That isn’t always easy.

What do you think makes the H-O-T Group different from other companies?

H-O-T is a rock solid, economically sound employer, which is particularly important to me personally for my future planning. What’s more, you’re not just a number like in most large corporations. Direct contact with employees plays a key role here, as it means that everyday challenges can be coped with better. This is what makes H-O-T different from other companies. It is not without reason that we are market leaders in many sectors.

What advice would you give someone who was interested in a career with the H-O-T Group?

The whole package needs to be right: Whilst emphasis is placed on a professional qualification and your educational background, as long as you have the will and the enthusiasm, H-O-T has opportunities available for the next step in your career.
