H-O-T Härte- und Oberflächentechnik GmbH (H-O-T) takes the protection of your personal data very seriously. For this reason, we have taken steps to ensure that the data protection regulations are observed both by ourselves and also our external service Providers. The further development of our website and the technologies used may necessitate changes to this data protection declaration. We would therefore recommend that you read through it again occasionally. The declaration below provides an overview of the steps taken by H-O-T to guarantee protection of your data, and which type of data is collected for which purposes. 

Voluntary personal data

In some areas of this website, you have the opportunity to provide voluntary personal data. We save and use any such (personal) data provided exclusively for the intended purpose. No data of this nature is passed on to third parties.

Automatically saved protocol data is deleted after expiry of a certain period.

Data processing on this Website

You have the right to receive information about personal data stored relating to yourself, about its origin and recipients, and also about the purpose for which it is stored. Please use contact information

Every time you visit a website, data is automatically collected and stored. Hoefer & Sohn automatically collects and stores data which your browser sends to our server. This data tells us:

  • The type and version of your web browser
  • The operating system you use
  • Which site was accessed
  • The previously visited site (referrer URL)
  • Time of the server enquiry.

H-O.T evaluates data for statistical purposes only, which allows us to evaluate demand for our web offering. Hoefer & Sohn does not have any facility to assign the collected data to any specific individual. This data is not merged with any other data sources. The IP numbers are registered for the duration of the visit to allow enquiries to be answered, but are not stored beyond the end of any visit. Data logged when accessing the web offering is only forwarded to third parties to the extent that we are obliged to do so by law or by a court decision, or where forwarding such data is necessary for the purposes of legal or criminal prosecution in the event of attacks on the internet infrastructure of H-O-T. Otherwise, no information is forwarded to third parties.

Cookies

To allow us to use the login functionality for ordering publications, so-called session cookies are used. Session cookies are small units of information which a provider stores in the working memory of a visitor’s PC. A randomly generated unique identification number is stored in a session cookie. This is known as a session ID. A cookie also contains information about its origin and storage period. This type of cookie is not able to store any other data. The session ID is used to collate your orders into a shopping basket.

Cookies can be controlled with any internet browser. Most browsers are set in such a way that all cookies are accepted without asking the user. If you wish to utilize the full functional scope of the website, your browser should be set to accept session cookies. If you reject all Cookies some function cannot be used.

E-mails to the H-O-T

If you send us an E-Mail or a message via contact form, the mail and your e-mail address are used exclusively for the purposes of correspondence with you. If you place any orders, the provided personal data is only forwarded to third parties (shipping company, where applicable other authorities or institutions if the ordered material is sent by them) for the purpose of execution of the order. After completion of the order or after answering your enquiry, your details are deleted.
